Code of Conduct

Section 1: Respect and Inclusivity

• Treat all members and supporters with dignity, regardless of race, gender, sexuality, ethnicity, ability, or any other identity.

• Listen actively and engage in constructive dialogue, valuing diverse perspectives.

• Embrace diversity within our community and ensure that everyone feels welcomed and valued.

• Encourage participation from all members, recognizing the importance of varied experiences and backgrounds.

Section 2: Zero Tolerance for Violence and Discrimination

• Any form of violence, harassment, or discrimination will not be tolerated. This includes but is not limited to verbal abuse, threats, or any behavior that intimidates or harms others.

• Report any incidents of violence or discrimination to group leadership immediately. All reports will be taken seriously and investigated promptly.

Section 3: Support and Solidarity

• Stand in solidarity with marginalized communities, advocating for justice and equality both within and outside of the soccer community.

• Offer support to fellow members who may be affected by discrimination or violence, fostering a culture of empathy and understanding.

Section 4: Expectations of Members

• Conduct yourself in a manner that reflects the values of Black Herons United, both online and offline.

• Engage respectfully during discussions and activities, promoting a positive atmosphere.

• Familiarize yourself with and adhere to this Code of Conduct, understanding that membership in Black Herons United is a commitment to these principles.

Section 5: Reporting and Accountability

• Any member who witnesses or experiences behavior that contradicts this Code of Conduct is encouraged to report it to the leadership team.

• Violations of this Code may result in disciplinary action, including removal from the group, depending on the severity of the offense.
