Founded in 2014 in the neighborhood of Little Haiti, Miami, Little Haiti FC is a nonprofit, non-pay-to-play soccer club that competes in the United Premier Soccer League. In 2022, Black Herons entered a relationship with LHFC by donating soccer balls and other forms of support to the club. LHFC continues to perform at a high level, consistently sending their senior players to compete at the collegiate level, often on full scholarships.

Community Work

Starting in 2024, Black Herons will hold an annual Caribbean Tailgate, featuring the sounds, food, and vibez of the Caribbean. We steadfastly believe the Caribbean population is a vital part of Miami's identity, and we are committed to reflecting the cultures of the Caribbean at Inter Miami.

Black History Month Series

Every February since 2022, Black Herons has had programming to honor Black History Month. For the inaugural installation, Black Herons highlighted the Black players of the club and notable Black soccer players from the South Florida area. In 2023 we celebrated historic, contemporary, men, women, and youth players from the African Diaspora. And in 2024, we honored the Black coaches, trainers, and technical staff at Inter Miami. Going forward, we will continue to represent Black soccer culture in an effort to reflect the rich diversity and contributions of the African diaspora to the beautiful game.
